Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine reported that the West Nile Virus will be arriving in the area <br />sooner than originally anticipated. <br /> <br />Mayor Young reported that several weeks ago, she spoke at the opening of the Davis <br />Street Transfer Station Education Center and was thrilled to learn that the Center had <br />been named after Dave McDonald, the former Executive Vice President of the Alameda <br />County Waste Management Authority who passed away last year. <br /> <br />Mayor Young gave an update on the Goalson Development Corporation, a potential <br />tenant of the eco-industrial park. It is anticipated that the Waste Management Authority <br />will award Goalson a grant of about $200,000 to locate to the eco-industrial park and <br />begin work with the Davis Street Transfer Station. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Airport Committee Meeting of February 3,2005. Approved as submitted. <br /> <br />2. Business Development Committee Meeting of January 26, 2005. Approved as <br />submitted. <br />
