<br />MINUTES <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-June 6, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Mayor Young asked Councilmember Nardine if she was interested in amending the <br />motion to allow the project to go forward, while specifying some project components <br />to be worked out. <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine stated that she would like to see the developer work with the <br />Chins regarding their requests before moving forward with the project. She reiterated <br />her concerns with the 5-way signalized intersection and stated that she would need <br />additional information from Engineering & Transportation regarding its design, safety <br />and functionality before she is convinced that it will work. She restated her motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine moved to refer the matter back to the Planning <br />Commission to address traffic and signalization issues, mitigation with the Chin <br />Family, tandem parking, and conformance with the General Plan. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilmember Grant. <br /> <br />M/S/C Nardine and Grant. Ayes: 2; Noes 5 (Badger, Santos, Starosciak, <br />Stephens, Young) <br /> <br />Motion failed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos moved to pass the two ordinances to print, adopt the <br />resolution, and request the developer to work with the Chin family regarding <br />their concerns. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Stephens. <br /> <br />. Ordinance No. 2005-005, an Ordinance Amending the General Plan Land Use <br />Map from Low Density and General Commercial Designation to Medium <br />Density Residential for the Subject Properties Known as 14953, 14969, 14981- <br />14985 Washington Avenue (Adjacent to the Interstate 880 Freeway and <br />Opposite Springlake Drive); Alameda County Assessor's Parcel Numbers 77B- <br />1120-1-1, 77B-1120-4, 77B-1120-5, and 77B-1120-6. (1009/1024/1099) <br /> <br />- Passed to Print <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Stephens. Ayes: 5; Noes: 1 (Nardine); Abstain: 1 (Grant) <br /> <br />.
