The City Council voted 5-0 (Councilmembers Santos and Stephens absent) to
direct the City Attorney to prepare an amendment to the current agreement for legal
services to reflect an increase in rates for special services and Redevelopment Agency
services and incorporating a CPI adjustment. Additionally, some cleanup amendments
will be made. Ms. Williams will bring forward the amended agreement for Council
approval at its meeting on July 18, 2005.

Mr. Santos commented that he felt the item was not appropriate for a closed session and
therefore chose not to participate.
