Ms. Pollart gave a PowerPoint presentation, describing the modifications to the
proposed proj ect.

Council asked clarifying questions regarding the building design. Councilmember
Nardine suggested that in the future, when a project design is changed incrementally, it
would be helpful to have new drawings reflecting each change.

The Hearing was then opened to the public.

Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting about
this project and redevelopment.

There being no further comments from the public, and without objection, the Public
Hearing was closed.

Mayor Young asked about the deconstruction of the old Fire Station building. Ms.
Pollart indicated that it would need to comply with City requirements. Mayor Young
noted that the applicant has agreed to provide space in the new building for a visual
display recognizing that the location is the historical site of the former fire station.

Councilmember Santos suggested that the applicant consider adding signage on the site
which indicates it is the former site of the fire station. Applicant Claire Koenig stated
that she agreed with the Library-Historical Commission's recommendation to place a
display in the main lobby reflecting the history of the building. Ms. Koenig also
commented that a plaque will be placed at the corner of Dabner and Davis to call
attention to the nearby Lamplighters residences, and she can erect a similar plaque for
the fire station.

.
