CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos commented that he is glad to see that the Council will be discussing <br />community preservation at a work session in February. He commented on the issues of trying <br />to get landlords to maintain their properties and certain properties on which repeated <br />complaints have been filed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported that she attended the League of California Cities' New <br />Councilmember Orientation and received preliminary AB 1234 ethics training. <br /> <br />Mayor Young related a story about Manuela DeSoto, who involved her as the newly-elected <br />mayor in an effort by a group of seniors to have a bus stop in District 6 moved in 1998. She <br />commented that tonight's meeting would be adjourned in Manuela's memory. " <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced that tonight's meeting would also be adjourned in memory of her <br />uncle, Robert Spahr. <br /> <br />13.
