<br />MINUTES Page 12 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, and San Leandro Public Financing Authority <br />Joint Meeting-May 15, 2006 <br /> <br />M/S/C Santos and Starosciak. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Nardine) <br /> <br />10. ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />A. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos reported that the Commission on Aging had a very <br />informational and educational presentation on elder abuse. He recommended that this <br />report be heard before the Human Services Commission and the Senior Commission. <br />Mayor Young suggested that staff determine which commissions to schedule for a joint <br />meeting to hear the report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported that the San Leandro Collaborative will be <br />presenting programs at three middle schools and San Leandro High School on Internet <br />safety, conducted by a former Piedmont police officer. The Collaborative will be <br />applying for the Kaiser Permanente grant to ftmd the Health Families Fair at Bayfair. <br /> <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />Mayor Young reported that she and Mr. Hollister attended a State Officer Memorial <br />Event in Sacramento last Friday with the San Leandro Police Officers Association and <br />members of the command staff., The Police Chief and other police officers will be <br />attending the National Memorial this week. She commented that this was a very <br />moving and emotional event. She noted that San Leandro was well-represented, and <br />she and Mr. Hollister were honored to be the representatives for the City Council. <br /> <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Airport Committee Joint Meeting of May 1, 2006 with Port of Oakland Aviation <br />Committee. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />2. Facilities Committee Meeting of April 26, 2006. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />3. Finance Committee Meeting of April 25, 2006. Accepted as submitted. <br />
