I saw him yesterday looking at the house at 1537 Hays Street.
He seemed very interested in the property and was going to go look at another lot to possible move it to.
I would hate to see the City of San Leandro allow Mr. Langon to tear down this beautiful home without
even offering it to someone like Milton to move it. Especially since in the General Orders it specifically
indicates they do not condone this.

I saved up ever penny to buy my 900 square foot condo. I'm sure I could have saved a lot of money ifI
had bought a lot of my own and moved a single dwelling home like this myself. It just seems like a
waste to let any developer destroy a home just to make money without consider the General Order for
the City of San Leandro.

I would like to know what did your engineers think of adding the extra 2.5 feet? If you could please get
back to me regarding this. I still believe it should be 15 feet as Lester Williams has mentioned on many
occasions. I just don't see how the City of San Leandro repeatedly ignores the General Orders regarding
views, tearing down homes, and so many more issues that the Garden Terrace has brought up.

I would definitely like to see it mandatory from all the Plarming Committee member to actually view the
areas they are making decisions on. I think it is an outrage that they are allowed to make decisions and
recommendations directly affecting established homeowners without acknowledging they have
actually viewed the properties involved.

We still have not seen any story poles go up at 1537 Hays Street. Any idea what is going
on? Should you have any information regarding these issues please let me know.

Sincerely,

Kathy Goodall

8/24/2006
