We recommended defense cost authority levels <br />as follows. <br /> <br />Risk Management Analyst approves expenses up to $10,000. <br /> <br />Assistant Finance Director or Finance Director approves expenses <br />over $10,000 and up to $50,000. <br /> <br />City Council approves expenses over $50,000. <br /> <br />· Request George Hills to update current litigation management procedures <br />included in the Liability Claims Manual, Section 4, "Procedures <br />Followed," to require: <br /> <br />George Hills to obtain the defense attorney's litigation plan and <br />budget in a fonnat similar to Exhibit 1.
