<br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2004-141 AND TITLE 3, CHAPTER 1 OF <br />THE SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATNE CODE, AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY TO <br />COMPROMISE AND SETTLE CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED $50,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution N. 2004-141 authorizes the City Attorney to <br />accept, reject, settle, and otherwise compromise public liability claims filed against the City. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a higher dollar limit on the authority of the City <br />Attorney to settle outstanding claims in order to provide a more expeditious claims resolution <br />process. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Resolution No. 2004-141 is hereby amended. <br /> <br />Section 2. That Title 3, Chapter I of the San Leandro Administrative Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />~3.1.100: AUTHORIZATION TO SETTLE CLAIMS.
