<br />NOTICE OF VACANCY <br /> <br />SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL, DISTRICT 6 <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of San Leandro will be <br />accepting applications for appointment to fill the City Council District 6 vacancy created by the <br />election of Anthony B. "Tony" Santos to Mayor. <br /> <br />Applicants must be a registered voter and a resident of San Leandro District 6 for at least 30 days <br />preceding the appointment. The term of appointment will expire on December 31, 2008 upon <br />the assumption of office by the elected City Councilmember, District 6. <br /> <br />All interested applicants must complete an application which is available from the Office of the <br />City Clerk, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, beginning January 2,2007 through January 19, <br />2007, during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. All completed <br />applications must be filed in the Office of the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on January 19,2006. No <br />application will be accepted after the deadline. <br /> <br />The applications received will be screened by the City Council. Those candidates selected from <br />the screening process will be scheduled for an intereview on January 29,2007.
