<br />MINUTES Page 10 <br />City of San Leandro City COWlcil, San Leandro Economic Development Agency, San Leandro Parking Authority, San <br />Leandro Public Financing Authority, and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-June 19,2006 <br /> <br />Harold Perez, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, expressing appreciation <br />for the sign erected at the intersection of Timothy DrivelWarden Avenue. Mr. Perez <br />commented on the streetscape improvements at 98th and Adams and expressed continued <br />concerns regarding problems with his neighbor's dogs. <br /> <br />Bryan Lucchesi, San Leandro business owner, addressed the City Council, providing the <br />Council with photographs taken of the MacArthur Boulevard streetscape construction and <br />expressing concern regarding the traffic problems created by the project. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding the listing of <br />Redevelopment Agency items on the agenda. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis commented that staff is aware of the traffic problems reported on <br />MacArthur Boulevard, and he noted the conditions have improved. Mr. Jermanis indicated <br />that staff will continue to work with the Lucchesi's to address their concerns, and the <br />Redevelopment Advisory Committee has requested an independent parking analysis. <br /> <br />Regarding Mr. Johansen's comments, Mr. Jermanis commented that staff will return to the <br />Council with more information to assist in its determination on the appeal. <br /> <br />Mr. Jermanis addressed Mr. Perez's comments on the Doolittle Drive enhancements, noting <br />no medians will be installed as part of that project. He noted that residents are only allowed <br />two dogs per household, and the Police Department is aware of the situation involving Mr. <br />Perez's neighbor. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br />Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under <br />one motion. <br /> <br />Public Comments on Item 8.C.: <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, stated his objection to the wording of the item and <br />stated that the charge is a tax rather than a fee. <br /> <br />End of Public Comments on Item 8.C. <br />
