IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2006-052 (1092/1177) RESOLUTION FOR PAYING AND REPORTING THE VALUE OF EMPLOYER-PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS WITH TIME-IN-GRADE EXCEPTION FOR CONFIDENTIAL NON-REPRESENTED AND QUALIFYING PART-TIME NON-REPRESENTED CITY OF SAN LEANDRO EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City Council ofthe City of San Leandro has elected to pay and report the value of all or a part of the normal member contributions to the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) pursuant to Government Code Sections 20636 (c)(4) and 20691, and applicable labor policies or agreements; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro may elect a time-in-grade exception to said Employer-paid Member Contributions (EPMC) within a given group or class of employees as defined in Government Code Section 20636 (e)(1) and as specifically authorized in Title 2, California Code of Regulations Amended Section 571; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro has identified the following condition for the application of said Exception: This time-in-grade exception shall apply to all Confidential and qualifying part-time non- represented employees of the City of San Leandro (non-represented) hired after May 15,2006; The City of San Leandro elects to pay 100% for all such current non-represented employees. For employees hired after May 15,2006, the City of San Leandro will, pursuant to Title 2, California Code of Regulations Amended Section 571, pay and report the value of EPMC according to the following time-in-grade schedule: Year one, or for employees hired with less than 12 full months' prior CalPERS agency experience, at 25 percent;
