<br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-057 <br /> <br />(1123) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING DONATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S COMMUNITY FUND TO <br />COMMUNITY GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor's Community Fund has been established to provide financial <br />assistance to local community groups, organizations and programs which might benefit from a <br />nominal financial contribution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has requested additions to the recipients list approved by <br />Resolution No. 2005-086; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the funds to be provided to the community group, <br />organization or program serves a public purpose for the benefit of the residents and City of San <br />Leandro. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br /> <br />That the community groups, organizations and programs, listed herein, are approved to <br />receive discretionary funding from the Mayor's Community Fund, as directed by the Mayor and <br />approved by the City Manager. <br /> <br />Community Resources for Independent Living <br />George Mark Children's House <br />Keep Music Rockin' Foundation Grants <br />Niemi Family Fund <br />San Leandro Police Explorer Program <br />San Leandro Police Officers Association <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Badger and passed and adopted this 5th day of June, 2006, by <br />the following called vote: <br /> <br />Members of the Council: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Young <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />(7) <br />(0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />(0) <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~.~ <br /> <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
