<br />1. That said First Amended Agreement is hereby approved and execution thereof is hereby <br />authorized. <br /> <br />2. That pursuant to authority granted to the City pursuant to state law, its Charter and <br />Municipal Code, the City is authorized to grant franchise(s) to furnish the City and its <br />inhabitants with refuse, garbage or trash collection. <br /> <br />3. That the City hereby acknowledges and affirms the current franchise agreement between <br />the District and WMAC for the provision ofrefuse services within the portion ofthe <br />City commonly referred to as L-3. <br /> <br />4.
