IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2006-065 ( 1280/2096) RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT TO FORGIVE A $200,000 CDBG LOAN TO GIRLS INCORPORATED OF ALAMEDA COUNTY WHEREAS, Girls Incorporated of Alameda County is a California non-profit organization and owns that certain real property located at 13666 East 14th Street and described as Assessor's Parcel Number 077E-1525-005-02 (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro owns that certain real property adjacent to the Property, described as Assessor's Parcel Number 077E-1525-003-04 (the "Agency Parcel"); and WHEREAS, on April 14, 1992, the City of San Leandro (the "City") agreed to loan Girls Incorporated of Alameda County $200,000 (the "Loan") in federal Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG), secured by a promissory note and deed of trust, to carry out certain improvements on the Property; and WHEREAS, the City desires to forgive the Loan and take all necessary actions to reconvey the involved security in exchange for Girls Incorporated of Alameda County executing a lot line adjustment between the Property and the Agency Parcel; WHEREAS, to provide for and memorialize the forgiveness of the Loan, the City desires to enter into a Loan Forgiveness Agreement with Girls Incorporated of Alameda County and further desires to take all necessary actions to reconvey the involved security. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE, as follows: 1. The above Recitals are hereby declared to be true and correct findings of the City Council of the City of San Leandro. 2. The Loan Forgiveness Agreement, attached hereto, between the City of San Leandro and Girls Incorporated of Alameda County is hereby approved. 3. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed, on behalf of the City, to execute the Loan Forgiveness Agreement and to take all necessary actions to reconvey the involved security.
