IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2006- RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE 20o()-07 ANNUAL REPORT OF TIlE WEST SAN LEANDRO SIlUTTLE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTIUCT ADVISORY BOARD By Ordinance No. 2005-017, adopted October 3, 2005, thc City Councilor the City of San Leandro established a Parking and Business lmprovernent Area known as the West San Leandro Shuttle Business Improvement District (the "BID") to levy a benefit assessment on businesses within the BID, the proceeds of which shall be used for the public purposes therein described to benefit the businesses in the BID, pursuant to the Parking ancl Business Improvenlent Area Law of 1989 Section 36500 et seq. of Division 18 of the Califomia Streets and Highways Code (the "Act"). As required by the Act, the City Council established an Advisory Board to prepare and submit an annual report on asscssments levied and collected to pay the costs of the improvements and activities of the BID. The Advisory Board has met and revicwed the activities of the BID and the proposed assessment for the 2006-07 fiscal year and recommends that the assessment remain at $10.88 per employee plus a $25.00 base fce, the rate adopted by the City Council through Ordinance No. 2005- 017. The Advisory Board has caused thc preparation of the 2006-07 Annual Report of the West San Leandro Shuttle Business Improvement District, a copy of which is attached, and hereby presents samc to this Council. The Council is familiar with the contents thereot The City Manager has recommended acceptance of said Annual Repoli. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of thc City of San Leandro docs RESOLVE as follows: That said Annual Report is hereby accepted and the City Manager is hereby directed to impose the assessrnent as recommended by the Advisory Board.
