The new <br />facilities were constructed in approximately the same location as the fOffiler pools. The new <br />[aeilities were designed and constructed to accommodate an additional 25 yard x 25 meter <br />competition pool should such a pool ever be desired. <br /> <br />The following improvements were made as part of this project: <br /> <br />. Demolition of the existing pools and replacement with a 5,200 sq. 1'1. recreation pool, which <br />includes aquatic playground elements for children and a three-lane lap pool suitable for <br />swimming lessons <br />. A watcrslide play clement (119 feet long with a height of 16 feet) <br />. A 6,000 sq. [1. locker building, which includes a 1,040 sq. f1. event room as well as the <br />maintenance/cquipment room <br />. New roofing and paint on the existing pool house and park restroom building <br />. Associated site landscaping and irrigation work <br /> <br />Analysis <br /> <br />Construction is substantially complete with the exception of a few corrective items that will be <br />completed after acceptance. Monies from the retention held by the City will continue to be <br />
