Resolution No. 2006-131, Resolution Anlending Resolution No. 2004-141 and Title 3, <br />Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Administrative Code, Authorizing the City Attorney to <br />Compromise and Settle Claims Against the City to an Amount Not to Exceed $50,000 <br />(increases the City Attorney's authorized authority to accept, reject, settle or otherwise <br />compromise public liability claims filed against the City from $25,000 to <br />$50,000). He noted that as a practical matter, the City Attorney works in <br />consultation with the City Manager and City staffto settle liability claims. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Starosciak offered a friendly amendment to the wording of Section 2 of <br />the resolution to read, "The City Attorney, in consultation with the City Manager, is <br />hereby authorized to compromise and settle as the best interests of the City of San <br />Leandro may dictate, any and all claims up to a maximum of$50,000." <br /> <br />- Adopted as Amended <br /> <br />M/S/C Starosciak and Stephens.
