Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovcrnmental Agencies <br /> <br />Mayor Young reported on some MTC projects pending approval on January 15, 2007, <br />including the HOV lane on 880 South from 98th Avenue in Oakland to Washington <br />Avenue. She commented that she hoped to remain as San Leandro's representative to <br />the MTC Board until February 1 in order to complete her 4-year legislative term. <br /> <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Badger requested that tonight's meeting be adjourned in memory of Sarah <br />Zoffada, who was the 2004 recipicnt of his District 1 Leadership Award. He commented that <br />of the five widows in his neighborhood which he "inherited" 15 years ago, only two remain. <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine commented that tonight is her last meeting. She stated that it has <br />been a pleasure to serve the City as Councilmember for the past eight years and for a <br />combined total of 25 years of public service to the City. Councilmember Nardine stated that <br />she feels she has accomplished her goal to be part ofthe decision-making process and to make <br />a difference. She commented on the cooperative working relationship that has helped the <br />Council to shape the City. Councilmember Nardine recognized the City staff for their passion <br />and dedication to the community, and City Manager John Jermanis for being the "epitome of <br />leadership and skill." She commended the City's commissioners, committee members and <br />volunteers for being the unsung heroes, for giving back to the community, and for making the <br />City thrive. Councilmember Nardine thanked everyone and wished luck to new District 3 <br />Councilmember, Diana Souza. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak commented that she has served with Councilmember Nardine on <br />both the City Council and San Leandro School Board. She expressed her appreciation to <br />Councilmember Nardine for her 25 years of service to the City and for sacrificing her family <br /> <br />16 <br />
