<br />IVIINllTES Page 9 <br />City of Snn Lenndro CitY_S'ollncil and SaIl Leandro ~cdevclopmeIlt Agency Joint Meeting December 4, 21106 <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />November 2006 election, the manner in which chmier cities and charter counties conduct <br />elections, and other various election matters. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager .Jcrmanis commented on the purpose oCthe Downtown TOD Strategy. He gave <br />kudos to Recreation and Human Services Director Carolyn Knudtson and her stalT Cor the <br />wondcrCul dedication ceremony Cor the new Washington Manor Aquatics Center and to <br />LibralY Services Director David Bohne and his staff for the dedication oCthe new Washington <br />Manor Branch I jbrary. <br /> <br />City Attorney Jayne Williams commented that the City's elections are conducted in <br />compliance with State law and the City Charter, and the City Clerk as the Elections Official <br />ensures the City's elections are conducted in rull compliance with the laws. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Councilmembers or stafr have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />removed lI'om the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff rep0l1 or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Puhlic may request the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar by filling out a speaker card and <br />submitting it to the City Clerk prior to the calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent <br />Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered tor approval under <br />one motion. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Items 8.C., 8.F., and S.G. Items will be <br />considered under Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar lor purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes lor all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar arc deemed to have been read hy <br />title. <br /> <br />Items 8.C., 8.F., and S.G. were removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items <br />Removed from Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were <br />approved by the following vote: <br /> <br />lVI/S/C Santos and Grant. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />
