CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Young acknowledged the many eUITent and former elected officials who were present <br />in the audience. <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />F01l11er State Assel1lblynlernher Johan Klehs led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Badger, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: Members Grant, Nardine <br /> <br />2. PIU~SEN'rATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced the following presentations made since the last regular meeting: <br />. A Certificate of Recognition was presented to Saag's Products for being named "2006 <br />Business of the Year" by the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce. <br />. A Certificate of Recognition was presented to Sa(eway for heing named "2006 Business <br />of the Year" by the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce. <br />. A Certificate of Rccognition was presented to Dan Walters for being named "2006 <br />Business Person of the Year" by the San Leandro Chamber ofCol11l11erce. <br />. A Certificate of Recognition was presented to John Faria for being awarded the "2006 Lee <br />Bruner Lifetime Achievement Award" by the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce. <br />. A Certi f1cate of Recognition was presented to Carolyn Knudtson, Recreation and Human <br />Services Director, City of San Leandro, for being givcn the 2006 award for <br />"Entrepreneurial Spirit" by the San Leandro Chambcr of Commerce. <br /> <br />1 <br />
