Mayor Santos noted that the 25 mph limit applies when children are present. Councilmember Souza asked whether siE,'11s would be posted near the schools to indicate that the speed limit is 25 Inph when children are present. Mr. Jermanis indicated that staff would look into the maller und repori back to the Council. He cornmented on the process ror setting speed limits. Counci Imember Stephcns rccalled a recent change to State law to allow fines in school zones to be doubled i r posted and suggested that staff may want to look into it.
