PUBLIC COM1VIENTS <br /> <br />COlTIlnents are lin1ited to 3 minutes per person. When you address the City Council, you <br />should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be <br />detelmined and an official record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to <br />Inake comn1ents on itelTIS of public interest NOT listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Martin Francis, 964 Dowling Boulevard, addressed the City Council, inviting the Council <br />to a Flag Day cerelnony on June 12 and requesting to be allowed to make a presentation at the <br />June 7, 2004 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council, clarifYing that he is <br />neither for nor against the Shuttle BID. He spoke regarding taxpayers subsidizing taxpayers <br />and that the City Manager and City Attorney Reports and Comments should be listed on the <br />agenda prior to Public Comments so that the public has the opportunity to comment on them. <br /> <br />Mayor Young noted that the City Manager and City Attorney Reports and COll11nents follow <br />Public Comments as they are directly related to the comments made under Public Con1illents. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis introduced the City's new Finance Director, Jesse Baloca. <br /> <br />7. AMENDl\lENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Counciln1embers or staff have an opportunity at this time to request that an item be <br />relTIoved from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Members of the Public may request, by filing a speaker card prior to the <br />calling of Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the opportunity to address the City <br />Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar. Items remaining on the Consent <br />Calendar will be considered for approval under one motion. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council regarding the minutes of <br />the meetings of the April 12 and May 3, 2004 City Council Meetings. He expressed concern <br />with the way Redevelopment Agency items are handled on the agenda. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Items 8.C., 8.D., 8.G., and 8.H. Items will be <br />considered under Item 9. Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar itelns are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action.
