Resolution No. 2004-126, Resolution Approving Contractual Services Agreement <br />Between the City of San Leandro and MV Transportation, Inc for Paratransit Services <br />for Fiscal Year 2004-05 (provides for paratransit services for the period of August 1, <br />2004 through June 30, 2005, with the option to renew this Agreement annually for two <br />additional years). Cost: $201,324. Funding: Measure B Paratransit and Paratransit Gap <br />Funds. (2323) <br /> <br />Councilmember N ardine commented for the record on the nice background information <br />prepared by staff. She noted that the two-day expansion of the FLEX Shuttle Service, <br />out-of-town medical trips and emergency hospital discharge transportation are vital to <br />seniors. She expressed appreciation to staff for incorporating these additional amenities <br />into the new contract. <br />Mayor Young expressed appreciation for Councilmember Nardine's comments. She <br />noted that the Alameda County Transportation In1provement Authority (ACTIA) <br />provided the funding for the service augn1entation and is both interested in the program <br />and grateful for San Leandro's leadership in this area of transportation service. <br /> <br />M/S/C Nardine and Santos.
