CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine reported that the East Bay Dischargers Authority Board is <br />recommending approval of the City of San Leandro's request to have a connection for <br />recycle purposes for Monarch Bay. She noted that Public Works Director Bob Rockett <br />did an outstanding job of asselnbling the information and presenting the City's proposal <br />to the Board. Councilmember Nardine asked Mr. Jermanis to pass on her kudos to Mr. <br />Rockett. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Airport Committee Meeting of Novenlber 4, 2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />2. Business Development Committee Meeting of October 27, 2004. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />3. Facilities Committee Meeting of November 4,2004. Accepted as submitted. <br /> <br />12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmenlber Glaze inquired about the status of considering a change to the City's general <br />nlunicipal election date. Vice Mayor Badger noted that the item is on the Rules and <br />COlnnlunications Comlnittee agenda for discussion at its next meeting. <br /> <br />Councilnlember Santos conlmented on a nlemo he sent to the Council regarding a citizen <br />inquiry about airing City Council candidate interviews on the Government Channel. <br />Councilnlember Santos found that the City of Antioch had candidate forums on its website. <br />He had previously been advised that it was inappropriate for candidate interviews to be <br />broadcast on the Govemnlent Chamlel. <br /> <br />Councilmember Santos requested tonight's Ineeting be adjourned in the memory of George <br />Importe, who was born and raised in San Leandro and was a World War II hero. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Badger cOlnnlented that tonight was his first night as chair of a City Council <br />Ineeting. He thanked his colleagues and staff for assisting and supporting him this evening. <br />
