<br />J\UNUTES Page 9 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-November 15, 2004 <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Badger requested that in Section 6-3002 (D), the phrase, "and strain the <br />City's ability to accept and service new Market-Rate housing development" be stricken <br />from the paragraph. <br /> <br />Councihnember Grant stated that the ordinance reflects the Council's policy to continue <br />to support nevv housing and in-fill where feasible and reasonable, and that it will not do <br />anything to stop anyone fronl building. She expressed hope that as the City moves <br />forward, if the Council becomes aware of other relevant social policies, they can be <br />incorporated into this policy to make it even better. <br /> <br />Councilmenlber Grant requested that in Section 6-3002 (G), a statement be added after <br />the second sentence to read, "Therefore, our primary goal with this policy is to have <br />diverse housing." <br /> <br />. Ordinance No. 2004-023, an Ordinance Amending Article 5, 2-510, Relating to <br />RM District-Use Regulations, and Deleting 2-566, Relating to Affordable Housing <br />Incentive Program, from the San Leandro Zoning Code and Adding a New Part VI, <br />Article 30 to Incorporate a New Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance to Help Meet the <br />Affordable Housing Needs of the City of San Leandro.
