<br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds as a result of said canvass that the number of votes <br />cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other nlatters required by law are as hereinafter <br />stated. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE and <br />declare as follows: <br /> <br />A General Municipal Election \vas held and conducted in this City on Tuesday, June 6, <br />2006, at the time and in the form and Inanner required by law. <br /> <br />There were 60 consolidated precincts established for the purpose of holding said election. <br /> <br />The total nunlber of votes cast in said City of San Leandro at said election was 15,761. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that at said election, the following persons were elected to <br />the following offices respectively: <br /> <br />Michael J. Gregory, Councilnlen1ber, District 1, for a full term of four years from and after <br />January 1,2007, and until his successor is elected and qualified. <br /> <br />Bill Stephens, Councihnember, District 5, for a full tenn of four years fro111 and after <br />January 1, 2007, and until his successor is elected and qualified. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that as required by the Charter of the City of San Leandro, <br />since no candidate received nlore than 50% of the votes cast for the office of Mayor, a Runoff <br />Election will be held an10ng the two persons having the highest nUlnber of votes for that office; <br />and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that since no candidate received nlore than 50% of the <br />votes cast for the office of Councihnember, District 3, a Runoff Election will be held among the <br />two persons having the highest number of votes for that office; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following measure is declared to have passed as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Measure I received a majority of the votes cast at said election for said Measure, and is <br />hereby declared to have passed. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 2006- <br /> <br />2 <br />
