City staff responded to 221 <br />phone inquiries and walk-in visitors and <br />sent/gave these people alTordable <br />housing infonnation packets: Of these <br />221 requests, 36 seniors received <br />additional information relevant to their <br />special needs. There are over 30 City <br />staff who are able to help translate 13 <br />diflCrent languages when necessary, and <br />one who can use sign language. Staff <br />also have access to ^T&T's Language <br />Line Service. <br /> <br />c. The City contracted with DSFRC to <br />monitor and recruit tenants for its 8MI{ <br />units. DSFRC provided 108 13MR <br />referrals and placed 12 tenants in the <br />City's BMR units_ DSFRC made 3 <br />BMR site visits and contacted many <br />other properties. DSFRC maintains a <br />current City and County vacancy list. <br />City stall reviewed quarterly/annual <br />compliance reports and tenant <br />certifications for these EMR units. <br /> <br /> <br />;;L Consider amendments to <br />Zoning Code to conform to State <br />law regarding second units. <br /> <br />b. Explore provisions to allow <br />"group housing" uses in <br />Industrial I -ight zones. <br /> <br />c. Make the permit approval <br />process easier and more <br />convenient. <br /> <br />a. The Cily updated its Secondary Unit <br />Ordinance to conform to State law in <br />FY04105, disallowing discretionary <br />review of second units. <br /> <br />b. The City still has "group housing" <br />under "professional" or business 70nes. <br /> <br />c. The City accepts some pell11 its in <br />digital format and comments on plans <br />electronically. <br /> <br /> <br />a.
