The public is invited to <br />Inake comments on items of public interest NOT listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Mike Greeley, 1509 Beechwood Avenue, addressed the City Council regarding the difficulty <br />he has encountered in developing a secondary dwelling unit and the disparity between the <br />City's and County's regulations. Mr. Greeley expressed interest in seeing the City increase <br />the maximmn unit size to that allowed by the County. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council regarding public <br />paIiicipation issues. Mr. Filipovich challenged the Mayor, City of San Leandro and melnbers <br />of the City Council individually to a public debate on the issue of public participation. <br /> <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager J em1anis noted the City Council recently adopted an ordinance to allow for the <br />creation of secondary dwelling units in accordance with State law. Mr. Jermanis indicated he <br />will have staff contact Mr. Greeley to review the provisions of the new ordinance. He will <br />also have staff provide Council with a report on the number of units applied for and built <br />since the adoption of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. J ennanis announced that the City's flags were lowered to half-mast today in honor and <br />Inemory of Richard Randall, fonner San Leandro City Manager, who passed away last week. <br /> <br />7. AMENDMENT OF CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />City Council Members or staff have an opportunity at this tin1e to request that an item be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for the presentation of a staff report or other special <br />consideration. Melnbers of the Public may request, by filing a speaker card, the opportunity <br />to address the City Council regarding iteIns remaining on the Consent Calendar. Iten1s <br />reInaining on the Consent Calendar will be considered for approval under one motion. <br /> <br />Consent Calendar was amended to remove Item 8.E. Item will be considered under <br />Item 9. Items Removed from Consent Calendar. <br />
