CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />Cynde Rivera, Employee of the Month for the month of December, led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens; Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced the following presentations were made in the past month: <br /> <br />A procla111ation was issued declaring December 7, 2003 as "Pearl Harbor Remen1brance Day" <br />in San Leandro. Mayor Young comn1ented that Councilmember Badger will attend the <br />National Pearl Harbor Remell1brance Day event held by the Pearl Harbor Survivors <br />Association on December 7. <br /> <br />Contributions were made from the Mayor's Comn1unity Fund to the following organizations: <br />· AIDS Marathon-San Francisco. <br />· John Muir Middle School for the Chorus Progran1. <br />· Deaf Counseling, Advocacy and Referral Agency (DCARA) for its Holiday Gift <br />Project. <br />· Davis Street Family Resource Center for Thanksgiving meals. <br />· Spinnaker Yacht Club for the Junior Sailing Program. <br />· Davis Street Family Resource Center in menlory of Lillian Kessler. <br />· San Leandro Police Officers Association for the Bicycle Giveaway Progran1. <br />
