Matter of Discussion of Emergency Grant Request from Building Futures with <br />Women and Children. <br /> <br />Joann Oliver, Recreation and Human Services Manager, gave an overview of the <br />request and introduced Lisa Cunningham, Director of Development and Operations <br />of Building Futures with Women & Children, who gave a more in-depth <br />explanation of their needs. <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued regarding the need for this particular service in San <br />Leandro and their concern that by granting this request, other organizations may <br />seek funding outside the nomlal process. <br /> <br />The Mayor noted that requests outside the nonnal budgeting and review process <br />should be brought directly to the City Council for review and discussion. <br /> <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> <br />Minute Order No. 2002-23, Matter of Discussion of Emergency Grant Request <br />from Building Futures with Women and Children. (2024) <br /> <br />The City Council approved an emergency grant in the amount of $25,000, <br />to be funded from the General Fund Contingency Budget, for Building <br />Futures with Women and Children. <br /> <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Santos.
