(1051/1221/2318) <br /> <br />City Managcr Jermanis introduced Assistant City Manager Schilling, who prefaced <br />this informational prescntation with recent history on the Wastewater Uscr Charge. <br />Assistant City Manager Schilling then introduced Robeti Rockett, Department <br />Head, and De1maric Snodgrass, Division Plant Administrativc Manager, Water <br />Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). <br /> <br />WPCP Division Plant Administrative Manager Snodgrass gave a brief history of the <br />WPCP and a summaI)' of the findings of the fee study. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Glaze said the City Council Finance Committee requested that specific <br />line items be comparcd to thosc of the East Bay Municipal Utilities District <br />(EBMUD). Director Rockett advised the comparison will be completed befi)re the <br />public hearing at the July 1,2002, City Councilmecting. <br /> <br />Council Members discussed ways to keep the City in the wastewater treatlnent <br />business and still remain competitive with neighboring cities/agencies. Counei I <br />Members would also like to see an "unbundled" comparison of costs of service in <br />an easy-to-read format. <br /> <br />City Managcr Jermanis advised that a consultant bas been hired to review thc City's <br />services and operation for efficiencies and to do a comparison for the full cost of <br />service. <br />
