Grant of $786,000 requires 20% matching <br />funds from the City. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant requested the item be pulled and clarified with staff that <br />approval of the application for the grant does not constitute an approval of the projects <br />by the City Council. <br /> <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-88, Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Apply for a <br />Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA) Regional Grant from the Bay Area Air <br />Quality District (BAAQD) for the Installation of Roundabouts at Three Locations <br />(provides for installation of roundabouts at San Leandro Boulevard at Broadmoor <br />Boulevard/Park Street, Fairway Drive at Neptune Drive/Monarch Drive, and <br />Fremont Street at Alvarado Street). Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Mayor Young <br /> <br />7H Resolution Approving the Prioritized List of Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety <br />Projects for Measure B Funds (approves the list of bicycle- and pedestrian-safety <br />projects that have been prioritized by staff, as required by Alameda County <br />Transportation Improvement Authority [ACTIAJ). <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler requested this item be pulled for discussion and received an <br />explanation of the bicycle and pedestrian safety projects. He also expressed concerns <br />with the lack of bicycle lanes in his area and how that alTects pedestrians along E. 141h <br />Street from Davis Street to Durant. Staff clarified E. 141h Street falls under the purview <br />ofCalTrans with regard to bicycle lanes being installed. <br /> <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />
