Manuel, Marina Action Committee, addressed the City Council in opposition <br />to the project, specifically about the process and diesel pollution, and asked the matter be <br />continued. <br /> <br />Francois Gallo, N.A.A.C.S.L., addresscd the City Council in opposition to the projcct, <br />specifically liquefaction, hydrology, pollution, and traffic issues. <br /> <br />Yvette Rice, 13160 Neptune Dr., addressed the City Council in opposition to the project, <br />spccifically the number oftmcking businesses in the area and health related issues. <br /> <br />Wafaa Ahorashed, Davis West Neighborhood Group, addressed the City Coullcil <br />about her concerns related to the project, specifically health and safety issues. <br /> <br />Raffi Demirjian, addressed the City Council on his concerns about the project and <br />suggested the community discuss the issues. <br /> <br />Dan Walters, West San Leandro RAC Member, addressed the City Council in support <br />o[the project. <br /> <br />Bo Johansen, 2515 Walnut Dr., addressed the City Council on the Issue of diesel <br />pollution and natural fuels. <br /> <br />Larry Norry, 2532 Williams St., addressed the City COllncil in opposition to the project, <br />specifically trucks and related zoning, health, and garbage issues. <br /> <br />Jeff Starkovich, BT Commercial, addressed the City Council in SLlppOli of the project; <br />he cited the need for the property to be developed and the potential for street and traUic <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Ron McMahon provided a detailed report on the grading and demolition activity on the <br />property. He discussed several of the environmental issues with the site. He clarified Fed <br />Ex as being only one of several potential tenants on site. He addressed zoning and traffic <br />Issues. <br /> <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without opposition, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br /> <br />The City Council recessed from 9:07 p.m. to 9: 17 p.m. <br /> <br />Due to an oversight, the City Attomey allowed one final public speaker, pursuant to <br />published rules. <br /> <br />Walter Hirt, addressed the City Council in opposition to the project. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing was deemed closed by the original vote. <br />
