<br />MINUTES Page 3 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, and San Leandro Puhlic Financing Authority <br />Joint Mccti~~~::-::-October 21, 2002 <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council regarding the minutes of <br />the October 7 City Council meeting and also wantcd to know the amount of funds given to <br />San Leandro Unified School District over the past ten years. <br /> <br />5. CITY MANAG~=R AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager John Jennanis stated that staff would look into pedestrian safety on the Marina <br />overpass. He noted street sweeping would be discussed under New Business, stall would <br />continue to work on the propetiy on the corner of Douglas Drive, and staff would contact <br />Costeo regarding the trucks. He fUliher noted stair would work with the Davis West <br />Neighborhood Group regarding the entrance feature clean up and the gate closure, and stated <br />statTwould check with the Police Department regarding mail theft. <br /> <br />6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Reports on lntergovenunental Agencies <br /> <br />1. Mayor Young reported she attended the Association of Bay Area Govel11ments <br />(ABAG) Fall Committee Meeting. She also indicated she has an available list of <br />signed legislation if anyone wanted a copy. She noted a eUITent opening available to a <br />Council Member and clarified City Council attendance at ABAG events. <br /> <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br />1. Business Development Committee Meeting of October 10, 2002. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />a. Council Member Grant noted she was not in attendance at the October 10 <br />Business Development Committee meeting and requested the notes reOect that <br />fact. <br /> <br />b. Council Member Santos commented on signage related to the auto mall project <br />and requested neighborhoods be contacted. Mayor Young noted that any <br />proposed signs recommended by Committee would be presented to the full City <br />Council for comment prior to installation. <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered {or approval by the <br />City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent <br />Calendar for purposes of discLlssion. Items listed on the Consent Calendar arc deemed to <br />have been read by title. <br />
