Minute Order No. 2001-8, Motion to Forward a Request for Recognition of Helen Lawrence to the City Council Rules and Communications Committee. ( 1156) The City Council forwarded a request for recognition of Helen Lawrence to the City Council Rules and Communications Committee. M/S/C Santos and Loeffler. Ayes:7; Noes: 0 B. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies None C. Reports on City Council Committees Council Member Galvan reported out on the City Council Ad Hoc Committee regarding rent issues. He indicated the Committee would be bringing a program proposal to the City Council at their February 20th City Council meeting. He indicated the proposal is modeled after the City of Alameda Ordinance and creates a Rent Review Program. It was noted that Neusa Pollard, Housing Specialist, is the designated person to take complaints and that the City is working with the Rental Housing Organization, ECHO Housing, and Davis Street Community Center on a program. Council Member Nardine left the Meeting for a few minutes. 7. CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title.
