Minute Order No. 2001-35, Matter of Appointment of a City Council Member to <br />the San Francisco Bay Area Water Transit Authority, Community Advisory Board <br />- Tony Santos. (1057/1156) <br /> <br />The City Council approved the appointment of Council Member Santos to <br />the San Francisco Bay Area Water Transit Authority, Community Advisory <br />Board. <br /> <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Nardine. Resolution No. 2001-5, Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />Expressing the Intent of the Agency to Guarantee a Lease of Property on behalf of <br />the Friends of the San Leandro Creek to Be Used for an Environmental Education <br />Center and Natural History Museum on Property Located at 777 Alvarado Street; <br />Assessor's Parcel Number 075-0155-009-00 (guarantees a Lease Agreement <br />between Oliver Partnership and the Friends of the San Leandro Creek). <br />Approved as amended. (2862) <br /> <br />After Agency discussion regarding payback of the loan, it was suggested that <br />wording be added to the Resolution indicating that "the Agency guarantee of the <br />Lease shall not be effective until the Agency receives funds for the sale of Agency- <br />owned property at 960 San Leandro Boulevard." <br /> <br />M/S/C Grant and Loeffler. Motion to Adopt a Policy Regarding the Use of Eminent Domain in Support of the <br />Marina Square Auto Center (approves a policy precluding the use of eminent <br />domain for future Auto Mall activity). <br /> <br />Luke Sims, Economic Development/Redevelopment Manager, gave an overview <br />of the proposed policy. <br />
