Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />A. Council Member Santos requested that Council place on a future agenda the issue <br />of the Davis West Neighborhood desire to rename Warden Park. He concluded by <br />commenting on the recent passing of Ellen Geis. <br /> <br />B. Council Member Loeftler requested that staff look into the ability of Seniors <br />having access to the Karp Senior Meeting Room Facility at the Main Library. He <br />indicated there is a group of seniors who meet regularly, but are currently meeting <br />at the Marina Community Center, which is an inconvenience. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler also requested that the issue of oversight of the Child <br />Care Task Force should be addressed. He suggested this issue be placed on a <br />future agenda. <br /> <br />Council Member Loeffler clarified with the City Manager that there would be a <br />Strategic Plan Report made at the July 16, 2001, City Council Meeting and <br />concluded by stating that the City Council Members, in his view, do not have <br />direct access to city information. <br /> <br />C. Mayor Young remarked that Chuck Foster, Executive Director of the Port of <br />Oakland, will be retiring in 2001; and concluded by indicating that on behalf of San <br />Leandro she had been nominated and elected to the U.S. Mayor's Conference <br />Advisory Board. <br />
