(1170/1413/2318) <br /> <br />Finance Director Mike White gave a brief sllmrnary of the areas the City Council <br />discussed last month on the proposed maximum allowable rebate, a sunset <br />provision, definition of a first-time homebuyer, maximum purchase price eligible, <br />sellers buying again in San L,eandro, and the exemptions to the Real Proper1y <br />Transfer Tax: <br /> <br />(1) Sellers of single-family residences and condos in San Leandro who purchase <br />another single-farnily residence or condo within 1 gO days of the first sale; <br /> <br />(2) Purchasers who qualify as a first-time homebuyer (i.e., have not owned <br />principal residence in 3 years); <br /> <br />(3) Purchasers who quality as a low-income home buyer; <br /> <br />(4) Purchasers who seismically upgrade single-t~lInily residences within one year of <br />purchase. <br />
