PRESENTATIONS/RECOGN ITIONS <br /> <br />A. Presentation of Contribution to the San Leandro Public Library Foundation by Kraft <br />foods' General Manager, fannie Picou. <br /> <br />fannie Picou presented a check for $5,000 to the San Leandro Public Library <br />foundation, accepted by Susan Kleebauer, Chair of the Fundraising Committee for <br />the opening of the Library. <br /> <br />B. Resolution of Commendation Recognizing the Contributions of Orval "08" <br />Badger, Library-Historical Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustments, District <br />1. <br /> <br />Mayor Young presented the Commendation to Council Member Orval "08" <br />Badger. <br /> <br />C. The Mayor reported that the following individuals or organizations had received <br />recognitions since the last City Council Meeting: <br /> <br />. Comrnendation for Pearl Erlich, owner of Sherry's Dress Shop, who bought the <br />store in 1946 and is closing her doors and retiring <br /> <br />. Last Saturday the Mayor participated in thc Railway Safety Week events, along <br />with Council Members Loeffler, Badger, and Santos and presented the <br />following: <br /> <br />Commendation to Union Pacific Railway, Declaring October 7-13,2001, <br />Rail Safety Week; <br /> <br />Commendation to the San Leandro Historical Railway Society for its help <br />and working with the City and schools on Rail Safety Week; <br />
