CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m. <br /> <br />A. Roll Call <br /> <br />Present: Members Gregory, Starosciak (anived at 6: 12), Souza, Stephens (left at <br />6:30); Mayor Santos <br /> <br />Absent: Vice Mayor Grant <br /> <br />2. BUSINRSS ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Meeting with federal government liaison Len Simon to discuss grant funding <br />opportunities (or City projects and programs. <br /> <br />Len Simon, the City's Federal AfTairs Representative, discussed with the City Council <br />his finn's role; past enolis and successes in obtaining federal support and assistance for <br />City projects; and strategies for meeting with legislative representatives and their statTs <br />and other federal officials during the National League of Cities' Washington, D.C. <br />Conterence in March. <br /> <br />Mr. Simon will work with City staff in developing a potential projects list for discussion <br />with federal representatives and officials. The Council will review the projects list and <br />narTOW the projects to two to three for presentation in Washington, D.C. <br /> <br />3. IJUBLlC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments may be limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment hy the <br />Mayor. The public is invited to make any comlllents related to Agenda items, or other items <br />oCpublic interest, at this time. <br /> <br />None. <br />
