SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION It is recommcndcd that the City Council approve a resolution adopting and establishing salaries for the above classi fications, BACKGROIJND Thc Information Services Division of the City Manager's Office is requesting a reclassification as a part of their rcorganization of the Central Services Section. This reorganization will consolidate the supervision of the graphics and reproduction and mai I services in a more etlicient and less costly manner. The Central Services Supervisor classification is currently not filled. The Assistant Watcr Pollution Control Manager classification will assist in the management of plant operations. The classification will also act as the projcct manager for the capital improvement program and supervise the plant maintenancc, wastewater operations and collection system daily functions. Prior to the City's investigation into the possibility of privatizing wastewater operations, an Assistant Watcr Pollution Control Manager was responsible for the operation and maintenance functions of thc plant. This classification will handle those functions in addition to the collection system functions, It will also assist in the management of increasing regulatory requirements regarding wastewater trcatment and storm water runoJT Current City Council Policy Not Applicable Previous City Council Action(s) Not Applicable
