<br />CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />Initial Study/Negative Declaration <br /> <br />Boat Launch Ramp Facility Relocation <br />San Leandro Marina <br /> <br />The City of San Leandro finds that no significant effect on the environment, as prescribed by the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) of 1973, as amended, will occur for the following <br />proposed proj ect: <br /> <br />Project Location: <br /> <br />The proposed project site is located on Mulford Point Drive within the San Leandro Marina on <br />the San Francisco Bay, in the City of San Leandro. The Marina is accessible from Marina <br />Boulevard via the 1-880 Freeway. <br /> <br />The project proponent/lead agency is the City of San Leandro at: <br />Engineering and Transportation Department <br />835 East 14th Street <br />San Leandro, California 94577 <br /> <br />CMA, a Division of TranSystems Corporation is acting as the environmental documentation <br />contact for the lead agency at: <br />180 Grand Avenue, Suite 400 <br />Oakland, California 94612 <br /> <br />General Plan Designation: <br /> <br />General Commercial (project is consistent) <br /> <br />Zoning: <br /> <br />Commercial Recreation (project is consistent) <br /> <br />Project Description: <br /> <br />Launch Ramp: <br /> <br />Remove the existing wood pier at the new launch ramp site, approximately 3,650 square feet; <br />pennanently remove approximately 26 treated timber support piling at the pier; fill <br />approximately 450 cubic yards at the pier location; remove and replace approximately 200 cubic <br />yards of rip rap at pier location.; cut approximately 270 cubic yards at new launch ramp <br />location; place approximately 6,000 square feet of cast-in-place and pre-cast concrete launch <br />ramp (approximately 4,000 square feet of which will be below Mean High Water - MHW) at the <br />new location, along with approximately 150 cubic yards of protective rip rap. <br />
