<br />THREE DIMENSIONAL ARTWORK <br /> <br />Fabricate a three dimensional model of the Monument based on the option selected by the City. <br />Meet with City to receive approval of artwork. <br /> <br />DELIVERABLES: <br />A three dimensional actual model (maquette) of the Monument. <br /> <br />PHASE 2 - INSTALLATION PLAN AND SPECIFICATION REVIEW AND APPROVAL <br /> <br />Consultant shall prepare detailed installation plans and specifications for approval prior to <br />commencement of the fabrication of the Monument. Consultant shall prepare supporting <br />information and calculations necessary for the review and approval of any permits (building, <br />electrical, etc) required for the installation of the Monument and any appurtenant work. City <br />shall submit plans and pay all fees associated with permit approval, and Consultant shall be <br />responsible to make any corrections to the plans and specifications required to secure approval of <br />said permits. <br /> <br />2.1. Plans: <br />a. Preliminary submittals: Submit one set of construction drawings on City standard <br />24x36 title block, signed and wet stamped for Building Division review. <br />b. Final submittal: Submit one set of construction drawings on City standard 24x36 title <br />block stamped and signed by licensed designer as appropriate on bond. Also provide <br />an electronic file in AutoCAD latest version of the final construction documents. <br /> <br />2.2. Specifications: One set of unbound specifications on hardcopy and electronic file, <br />Microsoft Word version 2000 or newer; both in City standard format (Times New <br />Roman font at 12 point) at each submittal. <br /> <br />PHASE 3 - FABRICATION INCLUDING CLAY SCULPTING AND CASTING <br /> <br />1) DEVELOPMENT: Develop the Monument in exact proportions of the prototype, scaled up <br />to the final sculpture size of 14 feet wide by 7 feet tall by 7 inches (plus/minus) deep. <br />Develop all necessary features of the Monument, including all necessary textures of granite <br />and bronze. <br /> <br />2) MONUMENT DEVELOPMENT: Develop full scale Monument, built up with wire, <br />aluminum mesh and clay, which is modeled out of clay in preparation to starting the process <br />of replication into bronze as described below. <br /> <br />3) FOUNDRY WORK: Coordinate the work of casting the Monument with the foundry. This <br />includes arranging with the foundry to produce the Monument and transporting the clay <br /> <br />Consulting Services Agreement between <br />City of San Leandro and Monument Arts, Inc. <br /> <br />1/9/06 <br />Page 17 of 24 <br />
