<br />DRAFT MINUTES Page 6 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-March 5, 2007 <br /> <br />Matt Lacey, youth pastor of Faith Fellowship, addressed the City Council, commenting on <br />the activities provided by Faith Fellowship's youth group to young people in the community. <br /> <br />Audrey Albers, Mulford Gardens Improvement Association, addressed the City Council, <br />urging the Council to lobby federal legislators for funding to dredge the Marina. Ms. Albers <br />commented that the Marina is the "crown jewel" of San Leandro, and she stressed the need to <br />keep the channel open in case of emergency. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting regarding <br />various documents in his possession, instant runoffvoting and taxpayers' revenue. <br /> <br />Ed Bullok, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the request <br />for rezoning by Faith Fellowship and requesting the opportunity for communication with the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Dave Burton, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />growth of Faith Fellowship Church over the years and its ministry to members of the <br />community. Mr. Burton requested the Council's consideration of Faith Fellowship's <br />application and invited the Council to a meeting at the proposed site this Wednesday. <br /> <br />Jeff McGallian, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, submitting to the City <br />Clerk letters of support from surrounding businesses for Faith Fellowship's application. Mr. <br />McGallian invited the Council to the informational meeting to be held on Wednesday. <br /> <br />Jean Morris, Mulford Gardens Improvement Association, addressed the City Council, <br />reading a letter provided to Council from the MGIA in support of preserving the Marina. <br /> <br />Gary Morris, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, expressing agreement <br />with the previous speaker and expressing support for keeping the Marina open to boat traffic. <br /> <br />David Johnson, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that he <br />keeps a boat at the San Leandro Marina and would like to see the Marina preserved. Mr. <br />Johnson stated that he would be willing to contribute toward keeping the Marina open. <br /> <br />Harold Perez, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />possible illegal rebuilding of his neighbor's garage. Mr. Perez commented on the Downtown <br />TOD Strategy, airport issues and preservation ofthe Marina. <br /> <br />Peggy Combs, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />recent letters questioning the construction of a ninth grade academy that were published in the <br />local newspapers. She commented that she would like to see a more unified relationship <br />between the City and San Leandro Unified School District. <br />
