City of San Leandro, 835 E. 14th Street, San Leandro, CA 94577 Various Various The City has initiated a process to rezone the identified properties with a new Assembly Use Overlay. The existing underlying zoning designation for each property would not change, but the -AU (Assembly Use) Overlay designation would be added. In doing so, assembly uses that may wish to locate on one of these properties would be able to apply for a conditional use permit for such a use. Currently, assembly uses (including c1ubsllodges and religious assembly) are only conditionally permitted in certain residential zones. Article 13 of the Zoning Code would be amended to include language regarding an Assembly Use Overlay District, and Article 3 (Definitions) would be modified to delete 'Clubs & Lodges' and 'Religious Assembly' and insert a new definition for 'Assembly Uses'.
