<br />A TT ACHMENT C <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that the City of San Leandro finds that no significant effect on the <br />environment as prescribed by the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, will <br />occur for the following proposed project: <br /> <br />I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> <br />The proposal is to rezone one property that is zoned RD and four properties that are zoned <br />II., to a commercial zoning district, CC Commercial Community, to be consistent with the <br />properties' General Plan designation in the Land Use Element. The Land Use Element is <br />one of seven required Elements of the General Plan and includes goals, policies and <br />strategies to allow the City to meet land use objectives. <br /> <br />II. DECLARATION THAT PROJECT WILL NOT SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT <br />ENVIRONMENT: <br /> <br />The proposed project will have no significant effect on the area's resources, cumulative or <br />otherwise. <br /> <br />II. FINDINGS SUPPORTING DECLARATION: <br /> <br />A. The project consists of a rezoning of five properties to bring the zoning into <br />conformance with the General Plan land use designation. No physical changes to the <br />properties are proposed as part of this entitlement. Any future development proposed on <br />the project sites would require separate environmental review. <br /> <br />B. The proposed project has been reviewed according to the standards and requirements of <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and an Initial Study Environmental <br />Evaluation Checklist has been prepared with a determination that the project will not <br />have a significant impact on the environment and as long as the applicant complies with <br />all identified mitigation measures. <br /> <br />III.
