Mechanics Building on <br />Lots D and E (Lots Would Be Merged) at 1300 & 1330 Business Center Place. <br />Assessor's Parcel Numbers 79A-591-6 and 79A-591-11; National Construction Rentals <br />(Applicant - in Contract to Purchase from Property Owner), Bayside Business Center <br />LP (Property Owner); IG-PD Industrial General, Planned Development Overlay District. <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Jermanis gave a brief background and introduced Planning Manager Debbie Pollart. <br />Ms. Pollart gave a PowerPoint present providing information on the surrounding uses; <br />the proposed modification to the Planned Development for Bayside Business Park, <br />which was originally envisioned as an eco-industrial park; the proposed outdoor storage; <br />the site plan review; and the Planning Commission's recommendation. <br /> <br />Matt Mathes, consultant with Carter & Burgess, Inc., addressed the City Council, <br />commenting on his company's consulting work with National Construction Rentals. <br /> <br />Michael Adams, Property Director for National Construction Rentals (National), <br />addressed the City Council, giving a PowerPoint presentation and providing additional <br />background on the company and the proposal. <br /> <br />Dana Lorton, Project Manager for National, addressed the City Council, continuing <br />the PowerPoint presentation and describing the features of the proposed facility. Mr. <br />Lorton stated that he has contacted the neighboring businesses, and they have written <br />letters of support for National's proposal. <br /> <br />Herb Decoito, Regional Manager for National, addressed the City Council, <br />commenting on his residency in District 6 and his strong ties to the community. <br /> <br />Councilmember Stephens expressed concern regarding the change in the proposed uses <br />at Bayside Business Park.
