<br />Cahalan CSA Doolittle Entryway 1 & 2 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />April 16, 2007 <br /> <br />Analvsis <br /> <br />John Cahalan has been the lead consultant since the beginning of the project and the plans and <br />specifications were prepared under his supervision. Therefore, he has extensive knowledge of <br />the project issues and design. His duties will consist of providing construction support services, <br />including attending construction progress meetings, conducting site visits, and providing <br />clarifications on technical issues. <br /> <br />Current Citv Council Policv <br /> <br />. On January 16, 2001 by Resolution No. 2001-4, the City Council approved the design phase <br />MOD agreement with the City of Oakland <br />. On July 16, 2001 by Resolution No. 2001-116, the City Council approved a design <br />contractual services agreement with John Cahalan Landscape Architect <br />. On January 5, 2004 by Resolution Nos. 2004-007 and 2004-008 respectively, the City <br />Council adopted the construction phase MOD Agreement and the City of Oakland's Local <br />and Small Local Business program <br />. On May 3, 2004 by Resolution No. 2004-068, the City Council approved a supplemental <br />contractual services agreement for design with John Cahalan Landscape Architect <br />. On December 5, 2005 by Resolution No. 2005-162, the City Council authorized the City <br />Manager to enter into a cooperative agreement between the City and Ca1trans <br />. On June 19, 2006 by Resolution Nos. 2006-075 and 2006-006RDA , the City Council <br />approved the plans and specifications, called for bids, and authorized the use of <br />Redevelopment funds <br />. On July 31, 2006 by Resolution No. 2006-098, City Council rejected all bids submitted for <br />the project on July 24, 2006 <br />. On December 18, 2006 by Resolution Nos. 2006-134 and 2006-011RDA, the City Council <br />rescinded Resolution Nos. 2006-075 and 2006-006RDA, approved the plans and <br />specifications, called for bids, and authorized the use of Redevelopment funds <br />. On March 5, 2007 by Resolution Nos. 2007-026 and 2007-027, the City Council respectively <br />awarded a contract to the low bidder, McGuire and Hester, in the amount of $1,920,877 for <br />Phase 1 and $1,751,530 for Phase 2 <br /> <br />Citv Council Committee Review and Action <br /> <br />.
