CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MARINA COMMITTEE April 1 0, 2007 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. San Leandro City Hall 835 East 14th Street San Leandro, California Sister Cities Gallery Room HIGHLIGHTS Committee Members: Mayor Santos (Chair), Councilmember ProIa, Councilmember Starosciak City staff present: City Manager Jermanis, Assistant City Manager Hollister, Business Development Manager Sims, Engineering and Transportation Director Udemezue, Public Works Director Bakaldin, Assistant to the City Manager Battenberg, Planning Manager Pollart, Community Relations Representative Ornelas, Marina Supervisor Snodgrass Public present: Diana Gentry (Chamber of Commerce CEO), Jeff Houston (C.A.L.M.), Howard Kerr, Tania Sheyner (ESA), Dan Walters The meeting was called to order at 9 a.m. 1. Review of Marina Shoreline Area Draft 2007 Timeline/Schedule Assistant City Manager Hollister reviewed the draft 2007 timeline. The Committee expressed interest in having a Town Hall meeting in September at the Marina Community Center and agreed to make themselves available to Home Owner Associations and other local meetings to discuss the harbor and Marina Shoreline development. 2. Review of ESA's Proposed Scope of Work for San Leandro Marina Area Environmental and Regulatory Constraints/Opportunities Assessment Planning Manager Pollart explained that the Environmental and Regulatory Constraints/ Opportunities Assessment will serve as a baseline for future documentation and provide necessary information for a Master Developer to determine what type of development is possible and where. She then reviewed the tasks included in the assessment. Staff report and powerpoint slides are attached. Committee requested an update on the Bay Planning Coalition conference scheduled for April 12,2007.
